Allegheny Health Network (AHN) Cancer Institute announced a $140,000 donation from Glimmer of Hope Foundation to launch a comprehensive “Mind, Body, Care” initiative in partnership with the AHN Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Institute and the AHN Imaging Institute.

In 2026, Dr. Karen Schogel and Dr. Barbara Fardo are celebrating two meaningful milestones for their practice. They are marking 25 years of dedicated service to their patients and community, reflecting a strong legacy of compassionate, comprehensive care. This milestone year also welcomes an exciting new chapter, as Dr. Rachelle Atrasz joins the practice in owner-ship.

Ana Kay Yaghoubian received the American Association of University Women's Gateway to Equity Award from the North Hills Pittsburgh Branch on March 18 at La Roche University.

North Hills residents now have access to the most sophisticated radiation oncology treatment at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant, with the addition of a new, advanced linear accelerator (linac) used to treat cancerous tumors and destroy cancer cells while sparing surrounding normal tissue.

The Wexford Post Office celebrated 202 years of safe driving and work practices on October 31. Twenty-two employees were recognized for their safety excellence. Rural carrier Steven Roberts was inducted into the National Safety Council’s Million Mile Club. This nationally recognized distinction is earned for driving 30 years or one million miles without a preventable accident.
