Passavant Hospital Foundation partners with UPMC Passavant to offer a wide variety of educational programs featuring physicians, clinicians, researchers and experts in their field to provide up-to-date information in layperson’s terms. #1 “Growing Wealth with Purpose: A Legacy Planning Summit”


October 30 • Passavant Hospital Foundation Conference Center & Theater at Cumberland Woods Village • 7:30 a.m. Registration • 8:30 a.m. Conference

Terri-Ann Gizienski, MD, Chief of the Clinical Breast Division at UPMC, will review whole-body screening studies for women, the latest recommendations, ages, and appropriate intervals.


#4 Liver Cancer Management


October 20 • 6–7:30 PM

Brittany Morocco, MPAS, PA-C with the UPMC Liver Cancer Center will discuss the newest treatments.


#5 Aging and Cognition


October 22 • 6 PM

Discover what is typical cognitive ability as we age, ways to help and when to seek help. Led by Alyson Mass, MS, CCC, SLP/L, UPMC Rehabilitation Institute.


#6 “Rising Strong” – A Celebration of Survivorship


October 27 • 3–6 PM

Life as a cancer survivor brings unique physical, emotional, and mental challenges.

Join fellow survivors for an afternoon of thoughtfully designed activities and education that nurture whole-person wellness. Connect, reflect, and focus on your well-being with others who understand your journey.









#7 Minutes Matter


November 10 • 6–8 PM

Learn and practice basic, life-saving techniques like First Aid, CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, Stop-The-Bleed®, Narcan and EpiPen use, and more.


#8 Lung Cancer Screening Program at UPMC Passavant


November 17 • 6–7:30 PM

UPMC specialists will provide an in-depth understanding of UPMC Passavant’s Lung Cancer Screening Program and how it ensures continuity of care.



#9 Neck and Low Back Pain


December 15 • 6–7:30 PM

Join Tri Rivers Musculoskeletal Centers and UPMC Rehabilitation Institute for an engaging discussion on conservative and interventional treatment options for neck and low back pain.
