Passavant Hospital Foundation will host its annual Legacy of Caring Gala on September 17 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh-Cranberry to honor eight extraordinary individuals who embody a Legacy of Caring and have served long and well to make UPMC Passavant a world-class hospital.

Since 2014, the Foundation has honored physicians, nurses, organizations, community members, volunteers, donors and others who have made a significant contribution to the mission and growth of UPMC Passavant.

Georges E. Al-Khoury, MD

Years of Service: 16

Dr. Al-Khoury embodies the very best of compassionate, patient-centered healthcare. He is known not only for his remarkable surgical skill but also for his unwavering dedication to patients, colleagues, and the broader hospital community. From dawn to dusk, he works tirelessly in the operating room, clinic, and hospital floors, always going above and beyond to ensure his patients receive the highest quality care. He sees each as a whole person, carefully considering all aspects of their health. His commitment extends beyond discharge, frequently checking in with patients personally to support their recovery. Through his leadership on hospital committees, dedication to improving operations, and efforts to bring his team together both professionally and personally, he has created a lasting impact at UPMC Passavant.

William Hogle, MSN, RN, OCN

Outpatient Nurse Manager for Surgical Oncology, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant

Years of Service at UPMC Passavant: 26

Bill has dedicated more than 26 years to UPMC Passavant, making a lasting impact on cancer care through his leadership, innovation, and commitment to patients. Beginning his career at UPMC Passavant as a radiation nurse, he played an important role in implementing the then-new brachytherapy program. Bill quickly advanced into leadership roles and played a pivotal role in expanding the Passavant Liver Cancer Center into a regional destination for advanced liver cancer treatment. Through the development of outreach clinics across western Pennsylvania and his hands-on involvement in patient care, he has helped thousands of patients access specialized, state-of-the-art treatment closer to home. His vision, dedication, and leadership have been instrumental in the growth and success of the Liver Cancer Center.

Jennifer L. Osborn, MD

Retired, Physician, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Passavant, Hematology/Oncology

Years of Service: 29

Dr. Osborn devoted nearly 30 years to providing exceptional hematology and oncology care at UPMC Passavant, earning a reputation for clinical excellence, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her patients. She was a clinical instructor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, director of the Tumor Board, cancer center medical oncology representative and medical oncology chairperson, while also supporting other cancer committees and survivorship initiatives. She also delivered educational programs throughout the community. Beyond her professional contributions, Dr. Osborn is a generous mentor, colleague, and advocate who has supported countless co-workers both personally and professionally. She genuinely cares for her patients, staff, and the UPMC Passavant community.

Lindsay Busch, PA-C

Physician Assistant, Expert, UPMC Passavant Pulmonary Partners

Years of Service: 16

Lindsay joined UPMC Passavant in 2009, and has dedicated her career to advancing patient care, mentoring future healthcare professionals, and advocating Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).

As a founding member of the Passavant APP Council and now the hospital’s first Director of Advanced Practice Affairs, Lindsay has helped shape a culture of collaboration, education, and professional growth that extends across the UPMC system. Her unwavering commitment to patients, colleagues, and innovation continues to make a lasting impact on the Passavant community.

Santosh M. Pandit, MD, FACC

Physician, UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute at UPMC Passavant

Years of Service: 40

For 40 years, Dr. Pandit has exemplified excellence in cardiovascular medicine through his unwavering dedication to patient care, clinical expertise, and service to UPMC Passavant. A highly respected cardiologist, Dr. Pandit is recognized not only for his exceptional medical knowledge, but also for his compassion, humility, and steadfast commitment to every patient he serves.

His thoughtful clinical judgment and personalized approach to care, particularly for elderly patients and those with complex medical conditions, have earned him the confidence, gratitude, and respect of patients, families, and fellow physicians alike.

In addition to his outstanding clinical care, Dr. Pandit has made lasting contributions to the advancement of cardiovascular services at UPMC Passavant. His leadership in developing the hospital’s echocardiography laboratory and his role in strengthening the Heart and Vascular Institute have helped build a legacy of innovation and excellence that continues to benefit the community today.

Donna Galbraith, BSN, RN, CEN

Passavant Hospital Foundation Volunteer, Injury Prevention; Retired RN, UPMC Passavant Hospital Emergency Department

Years of Service: UPMC Passavant: 41 (retired); Passavant Hospital Foundation Volunteer: 5+

Donna’s impact on UPMC Passavant and the surrounding community spans over 25 years of dedicated service as an emergency nurse, educator, mentor, and volunteer.

Throughout her career, she not only provided compassionate patient care and leadership in the emergency department but also championed injury prevention and community health education through teen safe driving and alcohol awareness presentations for high school students, bicycle helmet safety programs, child passenger safety initiatives, blood pressure screenings, CPR/AED and Stop-The-Bleed® training, and countless community outreach events.

As co-founder of the UPMC Passavant Injury Prevention Program and an active leader within the Emergency Nurses Association, Donna has educated thousands of community members while mentoring generations of healthcare professionals. Since retiring in 2021, she has continued her commitment as a Passavant Hospital Foundation volunteer.

Raymond Viducich, MD

Emergency Physician and Associate Chief of Emergency Medicine, UPMC Passavant Emergency Department (McCandless and Cranberry)

Years of Service: 18

Dr. Raymond Viducich has been at UPMC Passavant for 18 years and has earned the respect of patients, colleagues, and staff through his exceptional compassion, leadership, and commitment to service. Known for his outstanding bedside manner, he takes time to educate patients, ease their concerns, and ensure they receive the highest quality care.

As associate chair of emergency medicine and a passionate advocate for the UPMC Passavant Cranberry campus, he has championed improved access to specialty services, enhanced patient care processes, and supported the growth of the emergency department.

Dr. Viducich values every member of the healthcare staff, serves as a trusted mentor and educator, and consistently leads by example with humility and kindness. His dedication extends beyond the hospital through community service, medical mission work, animal rescue efforts, and support for families in need.

Paul Hanlon, M.Ed.

Senior Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Compliance at UPMC Passavant

Years of Service: 10

Paul is dedicated to UPMC Passavant patients, their families, UPMC Passavant physicians and staff, and the wider North Hills community. While he oversees critical areas including quality, infection prevention, patient safety, risk management, regulatory affairs, compliance, peer review and patient relations, his greatest impact comes through his accessibility, humility, and compassion.

A trusted advisor and advocate, Paul is known for supporting colleagues, championing employee recognition, and providing personal attention to patients and families, often sharing his own contact information to ensure they have help when needed. Paul is a decorated veteran, devoted family man, and active supporter of the Passavant Hospital Foundation.
