Now open at the Wexford Plaza near the Whole Foods, YogaSix Wexford has created a welcoming space centered on approachable movement and mindfulness, supporting students of all ages and abilities throughout their wellness journey.Â
The studio is owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Jarrid and Krissy Danburg, who returned to the Pittsburgh area in 2017 after living in Charlotte, North Carolina. Krissy is originally from Canonsburg, just south of Pittsburgh, while Jarrid grew up in the Cleveland area. Their shared connection to yoga developed over many years and alongside careers spanning professional sports, marketing, wellness, and dance.Â
After opening Pennsylvania's first YogaSix location in Mt. Lebanon in 2021, the Danburgs saw the North Hills as a natural place to continue growing. Wexford held particular meaning for their family, as they spent significant time in the area while their daughter participated in Brain Balance programming that was previously located in Wexford Plaza before relocating closer to I-79. Opening a studio in the same center felt like a meaningful continuation of a space long dedicated to supporting individuals and families.Â
YogaSix Wexford offers six class formats that vary in pace, intensity, and focus, allowing students to select classes that support strength, mobility, stress relief, or recovery. The familiarity of the formats helps remove uncertainty and build confidence, allowing students to know what to expect each time they arrive. Heat is thoughtfully incorporated to support flexibility, circulation, and safe, effective movement. Classes are Vinyasa-based, emphasizing breath-to-movement flow and encouraging sustainable, accessible movement.Â
The studio is intentionally designed as a multisensory experience, but what truly sets YogaSix Wexford apart is the feeling of belonging the moment you walk through the doors. Thoughtful lighting, curated playlists aligned with each class format, and a clean, modern aesthetic create an environment where members feel both energized and at ease. Instructors are Yoga Alliance certified and complete additional YogaSix training to ensure every class feels guided, supportive, and safe welcoming you exactly as you are, whether you're stepping onto your mat for the first time or deepening a long-standing practice. Here, you're not just another reservation on the schedule; you're seen, supported, and encouraged to show up however your body and mind need that day.Â

Community connection at YogaSix Wexford extends well beyond daily classes. The studio serves as a gathering place where relationships are built through retreats, workshops, private training, special events, and both 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher training programs. Rooted in connection and service, YogaSix Wexford actively supports local organizations including LoveYourBrain, the Alzheimer's Association of Greater PA, Cancer Bridges, the Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Sweater Drive, and Harmony Dog Rescue. Since opening in September, the studio has been embraced as a welcoming space where neighbors become friends-coming together to move, breathe, and connect, one class at a time.Â
