The Supper Club of the 1920’s

In 2006, Jimmy Wan and his father, Jimmy Wan Sr., opened Jimmy Wan’s Restaurant and Lounge, a beloved spot in Cranberry Township known for classic Chinese cuisine and sushi. But as the years passed, both gentlemen began envisioning something new for the community. “We looked at the community and thought, ‘What if we expand our operation?’” Jimmy Jr. said. “What if we bring something our community doesn’t have, a relaxing but classy and sexy vibe of a 1920s place with comfort food?”

And just like that, the spark ignited. The idea grew. Mr. Mister Supper Club was born, right in the heart of Cranberry Township.

“At first, the idea started as a steakhouse,” Jimmy Jr. explained. “But after menu development, we realized the concept of a steakhouse was very constrictive. You had to have certain dishes to be a steakhouse, and again, it’s not exactly what we wanted to bring to the community.”

Together with Chef Anthony, who is of Polish and Italian heritage, they explored the flavors and nostalgia of 1920s cuisine. What emerged was a menu that felt both classic and fresh, featuring dishes like steak tartare with attitude, Crab José, pasta with spicy vodka chicken Parmesan and whole Branzino. Traditional pierogies add a nod to the past, while a selection of steaks satisfies those craving a classic steakhouse experience.

The menu embodies the spirit of the supper club, a place where elegance meets comfort, heritage meets innovation and every dish tells a story.

Once you step inside Mr. Mister Supper Club, you’re instantly transported. You’re enveloped in Art Deco elegance, from plush velvet furnishings to rich colors and brushed gold accents. A space that feels glamorous without being pretentious, refined yet inviting.

The air buzzes with energy: martini shakers clink, bottles of bubbly pop and laughter rises from the bar.

“We invested heavily into the training of our staff because we wanted the service of that era, pure perfection,” Jimmy said. “We wanted our staff to be able to guide guests through an experience, whether you’re at the bar or at the table.”

And it shows. The staff at Mr. Mister is polished, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate. They know their wines, their spirits, their classic cocktails. Whether you’re sipping an Old Fashioned, an espresso martini, or a baby Brunello from Italy, you’re in expert hands.

They know every ingredient in every dish. They guide, they recommend, they elevate.

“Our goal was to find a niche concept in suburbia, without having to commute downtown,” Jimmy said. “And I believe we came close to our dream coming true.”

As Mr. Mister Supper Club will celebrate its first anniversary on November 11, the restaurant continues to deliver on its original vision: bringing a taste of downtown sophistication to the suburbs.
