I’M SINGING IN THE RAIN!

Spring Showers, bring more flowers.

Ah yes, SPRING! New season. My favorite.

I feel alive and inspired! I love the rain and seeing what it does to the flowers and the grass. The vibrancy of colors makes me sing. What a beautiful season it is, a season of fresh blooms, increased daylight, and long-awaited sunshine that winter makes us forget.

Sunshine brings us a sense of renewal, lifting our spirits, boosting our energy, and filling us with optimism. Instead of waking up in cold darkness and hearing just the noise of cars, we are now able to open windows and feel the fresh breeze and hear birds chirping with the sun beaming through the blinds. We feel ALIVE.

It’s like we, the children of nature, bloomed back to life as well. As we reconnect with nature, we get an urge to try and do something new, perhaps to plant a new bush or a new tree. Only a month ago, during miserable blizzard conditions, we just wanted to hibernate. We now have this desire to walk outside, go cycling, and garden. Instead of being dragged on a walk with the pup, we now want to sprint with her.

As Suzy Glaskie, functional medicine health coach and founder of Peppermint Wellness and host of the Midlife Illuminated podcast said, “In contrast to the inward, cocooning vibe of winter, spring carries a dynamic, outward-looking energy. This time of year is all about taking action, so go ahead and take a leap. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone – spring is prompting us to blossom, just like the trees around us.”

Don’t forget to reach out to your friends, your humans who give you positive emotions and a sense of wellbeing. Grab coffee, go for a stroll, meet up for happy hour and embrace SPRING and its beauty.

La dolce vita! Happy spring!  Smile and sing!!

Until next month!
